ALEXANDRE NAVARRO
Alexandre Navarro is self-taught guitarist, composer and independent producer. Born in 1974, he grew up in Bordeaux and then moved to Paris. In the early 2000s, beside his studies in anthropology specializing in the history of religions, he studied concrete music at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux (CNR). His music, marked by minimalist playing and sometimes comtemplative guitar, drift between electronica, ambient and post-rock. The sampler, the delay, become the tools of choice in the constant search for a "sensitive minimalism". Published on different labels since 2004 like Realaudio, Archipel, Mandorla... Alexandre also participated in various art projects including some supported by the Fonds National d'Art Contemporain. His meeting with sasa Vojvodic (Letna) in 2004 will be crucial in creating EKO netlabel in 2005 and then SEM label in 2007. Otherwise, he offers -unrealeased- tracks on his own platform Virgo. His albums Arcane and Loka have been respectively nominated at Qwartz Awards 2008 and 2012.
